Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how dabr Interactive LLC ("we," "us") handles information in the Soundcheck: AI Guitar Coach app ("the App"). We built Soundcheck to be privacy-respecting: we do not sell your data, we do not run advertising, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

Information we process

• Practice audio. When you start a practice session, the App records audio from your device's microphone so it can measure your playing. This audio is analyzed entirely on your device and is not uploaded to us or to any third party. Recordings are stored locally on your device and you can delete them at any time.
• Derived practice data. From your playing, the App computes scores and metrics (timing, rhythm, chord clarity, transitions, session length, streaks, XP, and similar). This data is stored on your device and, if you have iCloud enabled, in your private iCloud account.
• AI coaching text. To generate written coaching feedback, the App sends a small amount of text — your derived practice metrics and session context (for example, "timing 82/100, rhythm 74/100, 10-minute session") — to our AI provider, OpenAI. Your raw audio recordings are never sent. If you are offline or the service is unavailable, the App generates coaching feedback locally instead.
• Profile information. Information you enter during onboarding (such as your first name, skill level, and goals) is stored on your device to personalize your experience.
• Purchase information. Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. We receive purchase status (for example, whether you have an active subscription) but never your payment card details.

How we use this information

• To analyze your playing and provide coaching feedback and progress tracking.
• To operate features such as streaks, achievements, lessons, and reminders.
• To provide and manage your subscription.

We do not use your information for advertising or cross-app tracking, and we do not sell it.

Third-party services

• OpenAI — processes the text metrics described above to generate coaching feedback. See OpenAI's privacy policy at openai.com/policies/privacy-policy.
• RevenueCat — manages subscription status. See revenuecat.com/privacy.
• Apple — processes purchases and, if enabled, stores your data in your private iCloud account. See apple.com/legal/privacy.

Data retention and deletion

Practice recordings, progress, and profile data live on your device (and your private iCloud account if enabled). You can delete sessions and recordings in the App, and you can remove all data by deleting the App. To request deletion of any data associated with your account, contact us using the details below.

Children's privacy

Soundcheck is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Because most data is stored locally on your device, you can exercise many of these rights directly within the App. For anything else, contact us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above when we do.
